There are many ways for adults to get plugged in at Oak Street. We have Sunday School classes for every age and season of life. See a list of our classes here. We also have men's and women's Bible studies that meet once a week during the school year. For more information about these groups, please contact the church office.

We have a very active Women on Mission group that meets regularly and engages in service projects and special events throughout the year. Ideally, we want to see our members not just attending and participating as a "consumer" but also contributing to the work of the church by serving in some form of ministry. Our Senior Adults are also very active with various activities throughout the year.

At Oak Street, we believe that students are not just the future of the church - they are the present as well. Everything we do in our student ministry is aimed at equipping young men and women to know, love, and serve Christ in the here and now. We want to help students grow in their faith, serve the world around them, and have fun in the process.

We have Sunday School every week at 10 AM. All middle school and high school students are welcome to attend! On Wednesday nights, middle school and high school students meet in The Foundry for a time of fellowship & Bible study.

For more information about our student ministry, contact our church office.

- AWANA is our midweek children's ministry that meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 (during the school year). AWANA is for all kids, pre-K through 5th grade. For more information visit During the summer months, when AWANA isn't meeting, we have other activities for kids on Wednesday nights designed to help them learn about God and have fun!

 - Children's Church happens every Sunday during our corporate worship service and is for all kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

 - We have other special events throughout the year such as VBS.

We believe that music is a good gift from God. Music touches our emotions in a way that few other things can. At any one of our services, you'll probably hear a mix of contemporary and traditional songs. We don't care when a song was written; we care about the lyrical substance and artistic beauty of the song.

There are numerous ways to get involved with our music ministry - from singing in the choir to playing in the praise band and helping with our audio/visual team, there are opportunities for you to serve with us. For information about how to get involved, contact our church office.

We support and participate in local missions through the Watauga Baptist Association and ministries like Hale Community Ministries. We are also the sending church of Bruce & Lisa Hendrich, church planters with the North American Mission Board who are planting Grandview Church in Mead, Colorado.

Oak Street has taken several steps to begin the process of adopting an unreached people group through the International Mission Board. We hope to continue this process in the future in order to see the gospel made known among the nations!

celebrate recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, biblically-based recovery program for individuals and their families who are dealing with emotional distress and addictive issues. The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to embrace God's healing power in our lives. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our problems, pain, shame, and addictions. By working and applying the 12 Steps and biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictions, compulsions, and dysfunctional behaviors. As we progress through the program we discover the personal, loving, and forgiving power of Jesus Christ. Welcome to an AMAZING SPIRITUAL ADVENTURE! Celebrate Recovery meets at 6:30 on Wednesday nights.
